LifeRP Server Rules
1. KOS & RDM
Killing on sight is strictly not allowed. This includes killing without any RP reason, or randomly
killing people you see.
When a person is killed unjustifiably without expectation, reason, or chance to avoid their death, it
usually counts as KOS.
This does not mean you cannot kill players at all; in fact, you may kill for many reasons such as:
- • As part of an RP scenario in which both parties understand they’re involved.
- • When someone fails to cooperate after fair warning.
- • When somebody tries to rob you.
- • If somebody attacks you first.
- • Killing police (vice versa) when involved in a heist/pursuit & are in the active area.
- • Killing a player who has a bounty on their head via the official /hit system.
- • Players must not attempt to KOS their own bounty or a bounty within their team.
If another player is breaking laws such as trespassing on your property, damaging your property, stealing
from you,
or by any other means disrupting your rightful assets, you must warn the player that you
intend to kill them with fair chance before doing so.
2. RP & FAIL-RP
We encourage you to RP as anything you like so long as it stays within the rules.
This means things like roleplaying as a ‘murderer’ to justify KOS will not be valid.
When involved in an RP scenario with other people (such as playing out an event, hostage situations,
or playing into a character for the purpose of the scenario, etc.), purposefully ruining that experience
for others will be considered FailRP.
Any repeatable hostile RP scenarios are limited to a 10-minute cooldown. This includes:
- • Hostage situations.
- • Bounties/hits.
- • All types of robberies.
FailRP also includes:
- • Downing, killing, or ‘bodychecking’ someone after they cooperate is FailRP.
- • Logging/suiciding/parking to illegitimately remove yourself from a consequence is FailRP.
- • Players who involve themselves/join in with other players’ hostile situations such as
firefights, heists, hostage situations, etc., are liable to be treated as a participant.
Robberies:
- • When robbing another player, you must give them at least 5 verbal seconds to put
their hands up
before concluding that they’re not cooperating.
- • You must use your microphone & ensure the player is aware of the robbery, text chat robberies will
not be valid.
- There are two types of robberies you can conduct:
- • /rob: Cuff or cable tie a player, then do /rob on them to
force-drop their inventory on the ground.
This has a 10-minute cooldown, group-wide.
- • The old-fashioned way: Simply tell the player to drop their items, however, there
is no guarantee
they won’t hide anything. Downing the player to bodycheck after they cooperate is not allowed.
3. GRIEFING
Griefing & tampering with other players' property, builds, or vehicles, free-building in public space,
or generally building outside of a space/vehicle you own is not allowed.
You may build freely on any property you or your group owns, and in the vicinity surrounding your
property
(to make things like gardens, porches, etc.). However, any build/radius that’s deemed excessive may risk
it or your property’s removal.
You may build on vehicles you own, but within reason. Any build that admins deem to be excessive
or obstructive will be considered griefing & is subject to removal.
You may not use barricades to block the driver & gunner seat of your vehicle.
Exception for Vehicle Griefing:
- • If a player willingly brings their vehicle into an RP scenario (such as a robbery or a heist),
that vehicle may be tampered with, damaged, or destroyed by other players participating in the same RP
situation.
- • This includes players hiding items in vehicles during a robbery.
4. PROPERTY RULES
Properties are split up into 3 different property types:
- • 🏡 Living Properties: Apartments, Houses, Mansions, Yachts, Trailers
- • 🚗 Vehicular Properties: Garages, Hangars, Warehouses
- • 🏢 Commercial Properties: Barns, Shops, Offices
You can own 1 living property, 1 vehicular property & 1 commercial property per person.
For example: You could own an Apartment, a Hangar, and an Office all at the same time.
You must clearly display the correct deed on the outside of your property.
The owner of the deed & door must be the same.
Deeds cannot be destroyed by other players, so don’t worry about them being tampered with.
If your house comes with a garage, you do not need an additional garage deed to claim
it,
and it does not count as an additional vehicular property.
Property & barricades will decay after 7 days of inactivity.
If you do not log into the server for 7 days, your property will decay.
Ensure you’re logging on at least once a week to avoid losing your property.
Inventory items & vehicles do not apply to the decay rule; they will be kept
forever.
5. COMMON SENSE
Hacking, Cheating, Exploiting, Spamming, Discrimination, NSFW, is strictly not allowed.
Participating in discussions of IRL trading on our official platforms is not allowed.
Note: Trading items for in-game ranks, in-game cash, or gift cards is perfectly fine, meaning
you can offer to buy someone a rank in exchange for an in-game item.
Trading items for real money directly via PayPal/bank transfer etc. is not allowed.
We encourage you to report exploits, bugs or issues to us to receive an in-game cash reward. Abusing bugs can result in punishment!
Common sense is your friend. If something seems like it may be against the rules, it
likely is. Please use your own judgment within reason.
Your account/PC/network is your responsibility when on our server.
REPORTING & BANS
Report any player you see breaking the rules here.
Video evidence is required in most cases to prove the incident happened.
We do this to ensure we have distinct fair proof and so we can avoid ‘he says she says’ situations.
- • We recommend using services such as Medal, or installing Nvidia Share/AMD ReLive
as per your GPU respectively to capture video evidence quickly and easily.
- • Video evidence submitted must be clear and show the full context to the incident that happened.
In cases where server logs can prove what happened, such as text chat harassment, video evidence is not
required,
but a screenshot or video of the incident may help speed up the process.
Consequences are determined by admins based on the context, intention, and severity of the violation.
This could be anything from a warning, a timed ban, data wipe, or even a permanent ban.
Admins have final judgment on a verdict; however, if you’d like to appeal your warning or ban you can do
so
here.
Our warning system is in place to hand out automatic bans to those who receive too many warnings within a
set
period of time, the system works as follows:
- • All warnings individually expire within 30 days of receiving them, meaning if you
get a
warning,
it will be removed after 30 days automatically.
- • If you have multiple warnings simultaneously on your account, you will receive an automatic ban
based on how
many warnings you have.
- Automatic warn to ban ratio:
- • 3 warnings = 3 day ban
- • 4 warnings = 5 day ban
- • 5 warnings = 7 day ban
- • 6 warnings = 14 day ban
- • 7 warnings = 30 day ban
Remember, to check your warnings in-game you can use the command use /warns.
